Gin Mare Capri is the Mediterranean gin's postcard from Italy — a citrus-led expression built around the lemons of the Amalfi Coast and the bergamot of Calabria, layered over the original Gin Mare recipe. The base is the gin brothers Marc and Manuel Giró created in 2007 in a converted 18th-century chapel in the fishing town of Vilanova i la Geltrú south of Barcelona: Catalan Arbequina olives, Greek rosemary, Turkish thyme, Italian basil, coriander, cardamom, and a custom orange-and-lemon blend, each botanical macerated and distilled separately in a Florentine-flask still. For Capri, sun-ripened Italian lemons and fragrant bergamot join the citrus maceration, turning the herbal, savory original into something brighter and more aromatic — the scent of a lemon grove above the sea. Bottled at 42.7% ABV. Expect intense fresh lemon zest and bergamot's floral, Earl-Grey perfume leaping from the glass, over the familiar rosemary and thyme, opening into a silky palate where the citrus leads, the olive adds its saline, savory depth, and the herbs keep it unmistakably Gin Mare, finishing long with lemon oil and a whisper of anise. It's built for the Italian summer: a gin-tonic in a copa with a lemon wheel and basil, a Gin Mare Capri Spritz with prosecco and soda, a Lemon Gimlet, or a Basil Smash. For drinkers who found the original a touch too savory, this is the sunnier door in. La dolce vita, in juniper.Buy Gin Mare Capri online with fast shipping right to your door.
