Equipoise is a Single Blended Rum, pot and Coffey column distillate, tropically aged fourteen years in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and ex-Calvados casks from Normandy, and bottled at 61% ABV in 2024 in limited quantities. Equipoise means balance, and the name is the brief: Calvados is subtler than the Madeira, port, and sherry casks Foursquare usually uses, and the apple brandy's wood lends a gentle orchard-fruit lift rather than a heavy wine-cask stamp.
