These castings were created using real gravestone rubbings from 17th to 21st century gravestones found in cemeteries throughout the New England region. All of these pieces are hand-formed and finished, so each and every one is unique.
The best and probably the most important part is that no gravestone was damaged in the process. While we all love the hauntingly captivating atmosphere of these old burial sites, it’s important that they remain intact and undisturbed. After all, they are hallowed ground and should be treated as such. With these castings, you can bring some of that graveyard magic into your home and keep the real deal safe and sound.
About the casting:
Father Time is an old man who arrives with his hourglass to show you time is up and his scythe to cut you down. A very clear mortality symbol from Mr. Timothy Lindall's gravestone, who Father Time claimed January 6, 1698/99. Charter Street Burial Ground, Salem, Massachusetts.
